Carley Mattimore is a Reiki Master in the Usui, Tibetan and Shamanic Tradition, Healing Touch International Practitioner Apprentice (Level III) and Oneness (Deeksha) Facilitator. In addition, Carley has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
Reiki has grown exponentially in the United States since Mrs. Takata brought it to the United States. It is interesting to note the lineage that we came from as it connects us to our roots.
Master Gloria Ferguson was initiated both by Master Nancy Calumet who was initiated by Master William Rand and by Master Laurelle Shanti Gaia (Laura Ellen Gifford) and Master Kathie Lapinski who were initiated by Master Karen Patton.
Master Barbara Westover was attuned by Reiki Master Colleen Benilli for Usui/Tibetan/Karuna. Colleen was attuned by Reiki Master William Rand. Barbara Westover was attuned in the Shamanic Reiki by Star Wolf.
Master Sister Ann was attuned by Reiki Master, Richard Casey who was attuned by Reiki Master, Phyllis Furumoto. Phyllis is the granddaughter of Mrs. Takata who brought Reiki to Hawaii and the United States. Mrs. Takata was a student of Miao Usui, the founder of the Usui System of Reiki in Japan.
Reiki Master William Rand lineage traces its roots from Phyllis Furumoto and Mrs. Takata as well. William Rand is the co- founder and president of the International Center for Reiki Training, publisher of the Reiki News Magazine and Online Reiki Newsletter. The Usui/Tibetan style of Reiki he uses combines Japanese and Western Reiki methods.
Star Wolf is co-founder of the Venus Rising Institute for the Shamanic Healing Arts and the Shamanic Breathwork Process.
